1. 4-Methyl-2-pentanol is an excellent medium boiling point solvent.
2. It is mainly used as a solvent for dyes, petroleum, rubber, resin, paraffin, nitrocellulose, and ethyl cellulose.
3. It is mainly used as an inert solvent for nitrocellulose lacquer, which can increase the gloss and flatness of the coating. , to improve the redness performance; as a solvent in the manufacture of lubricating oil additives.
4. It is mainly used as raw materials for organic synthesis, and mineral flotation lotions, such as extracted silicon and copper sulfate; also used in brake fluids. It is also used as a foaming agent, a dispersing agent, a detergent, a plasticizer, a surfactant, a lubricant, a cosmetic, a photographic industrial.
